The conference has been held previously in Melbourne (1996), San Diego (1997), Amsterdam (1999), Lyon (2000), Taiwan (2002), Miami (2003), San Francisco (2004), Amsterdam (2005), and Shanghai (2007). VISUAL(2008), Salerno The International Conference on Visual Information Systems will celebrate its 10th edition in Salerno, Italy, 11-12 September 2008, hosted by University of Salerno. Salerno is a beautiful city of South Italy ideally located, right between the spectacular Amalfi and Cilento coasts. The city is ‘authentically Italian’, with a beautiful historic centre, as well as long seafront promenade, with magnificent views over the Gulf of Salerno. It is an eternal city overwhelmed by history and bound to its traditions, a city of extraordinary beauty, not only for its landscapes but also for its architecture. Due to Salerno’s marvelous year-round climate, people here enjoy the ‘typically Italian’ outdoor lifestyle which this beautiful weather makes possible. Paper Submission ============================== VISUAL2008 is seeking original high quality submissions addressing all aspects of visual information systems. Papers addressing web-based visual information search and management are particularly welcome. The conference proceedings will be published by some prestigious publisher.
