It will be held in Berchtesgaden, a mountainous national park region in Bavaria. Please excuse receiving multiple copies of this mail. _________________________________________________________________________ ÖAGM 2001 First Call for Papers ------------------------------------------------------------------------- 25th Workshop of the AUSTRIAN ASSOCIATION FOR PATTERN RECOGNITION (AAPR) "Computer Vision, Computer Graphics and Photogrammetry - a Common Viewpoint" Berchtesgaden, Bavaria, Germany June 7-8, 2001 http://www.icg.tu-graz.ac.at/oeagm2001 In the past Computer Vision, Computer Graphics and Photogrammetry have been considered as different scientific areas. Recent work on treating these subjects from a more common viewpoint demonstrate an increasing mutual interest on the approaches of other communities. As an example, we mention the new terms of "image-based rendering" for the field of computer graphics and "image-based modelling" for computer vision. The 25th anniversary of the AAPR workshop is dedicated to bring researchers of all three societies together and to discuss mutual interests and links. Topics (include, but are not limited to) * Shape Recovery * Stereo, Motion and Tracking * Color and Physics Based Vision * Sensor Calibration and Accuracy * View Registration and Interpolation * 3D Image Understanding * Image Based Rendering * Texture Analysis and Synthesis * Modelling and Visualizing Human Habitats * Segmentation, Clustering and Restoration * Aerial Image Processing and Interpretation * Multi-resolution 3D Representations * Applications (Industrial, Remote Sensing, Entertainment, etc.) Invited Speaker Wolfgang Foerstner, Institute of Photogrammetry, University of Bonn Andrew Zisserman, Robotics Group, University of Oxford Chairman Stefan Scherer, Computer Graphics and Vision, Graz University of Technology Program Committee H.
