Regards T T Wong ===================================================================== MIAR2001: Call for Papers Medical Imaging and Augmented Reality 10 - 12 June 2001 The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong In Cooperation with IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society and the Eurographics Association http://www.cse.cuhk.edu.hk/~miar2001/ General Information and Conference Topics ========================================= The merge of Medical Imaging and Virtual Reality has made significant advances in computer assisted diagnosis, treatment, and training in medicine. MIAR aims at bringing together researchers in computer science, electrical engineering, physics, and clinical medicine to present the state-of-the-art developments in this ever-growing research area. The workshop will be held on 10 - 12 June 2001 in Hong Kong, a dynamic city of over 6 million people, and a meeting point of Eastern and Western cultures. The meeting will consist of a single track of oral/poster presentations, with each session led by an invited lecture from our distinguished international faculty members. Papers presenting original research in imaging and augmented reality in medicine are being sought. Suggested topics include (but are not limited to): * Ultrafast Imaging Techniques * Interactive Imaging * Surgical Simulation and Augmented Reality * Structural/Functional Reconstruction * Multi-modal Image Registration and Fusion * Visualization Techniques * Image-guided Surgical Navigation Systems * Image Processing and Segmentation Submission Information ======================= Submissions describing original unpublished research are encourged, and each manuscript should be submitted in the form of an extended summary of no longer than 2000 words following the style described on the MIAR web site (http://www.cse.cuhk.edu.hk/~miar2001). Authors are encouraged to submit their manuscripts either online or via email to mair2001@cse.cuhk.edu.hk with the subject line "MIAR2001 submission". Acceptable file formats are: PostScript, PDF, and MS Word. Only electronic submissions will be accepted for this meeting. Submissions should include the following information: the title of the work, authors' names and affiliations, an abstract, some keywords, and information of a contact author (postal address, email address, phone number and fax number).
