Call For Papers (Reminder): 2nd International Conference on Non-visual & Multimodal Visualization 4th July 2005 London, UK http://www.m2vis.org/ Associated and co-located with International Conference on Information Visualization and In association with British HCI Group Paper deadline: 1st March 2005. The aim of this symposium is to bring together top practitioners, researchers, developers and users of non-visual and multimodal visualization, and multisensory perception issues of visualization. Original papers are solicited in the area of non-visual, multimodal and multisensory visualization. In particular we encourage papers detailing novel devices, formal models, applications and in-depth reviews for visualization. Example topics include, but are not limited to: o Non-visual visualization o Dynamic & exploratory non-visual visualization o Multimodal visualization o Multisensory perception for visualization o Force-feedback and haptic visualization, including: kinaesthetic, tactile or force-feedback devices and applications temperature-based visualization o Sonification/Auralization, including: image sonification, schematic sonification, algorithm sonification, auralization, earcons, high fidelity (realistic) sound rendering in VR o Visualization by smell (Olfaction) or taste (Gustation) o Perception issues for multimodal visualization o Multi-perception VR environments o Visualization accessibility Symposium Chairs: Jonathan C Roberts (University of Kent, UK) Bowen Loftin (Old Dominion University, VA, USA) Accepted papers will appear in the proceedings, which will be published by the IEEE Computer Society For additional information and submission instructions visit the website: http://www.m2vis.org/
