Call for Papers: Graphics Interface 2008 May 28-30, 2008, Windsor, ON, Canada Papers deadline: Dec 20, 2007 Electronic Submission: https://precisionconference.com/~gi Accepted papers archived in ACM Digital Library Conference Website: http://www.hvilab.iat.sfu.ca/GI2008/ Graphics Interface 2008 will take place in Windsor, Ontario, Canada from May 28 to May 30 at the University of Windsor. GI 2008 will be the 34th Graphics Interface conference; it is the oldest continuously-scheduled conference in the field. GI consistently attracts high-quality papers on recent advances in interactive systems, human computer interaction, and graphics, from around the world. All paper submissions are fully peer reviewed by two members of the program committee and two external reviewers. Accepted papers will be archived in the ACM Digital Library. Graphics Interface 2008 will have joint sessions for the graphics and HCI tracks. Topics of interest at GI include (but are not restricted to): Augmented reality Computer animation Computer-supported cooperative work Data and information visualization Geometric modeling and meshing Graphics in simulation Haptic and tangible interfaces Human interface devices Image synthesis and realism Image-based rendering Interaction techniques Medical and scientific visualization Mobile computing Multimedia Non-photorealistic rendering Perception Real-time rendering Scientific and information visualization Shading and rendering Virtual reality Visual analytics GI 2008 is held in conjunction with the Computer and Robot Vision 2008 (CRV), the Artificial Intelligence 2008 (AI), and the Precarn Intelligent Systems (Precarn IS) conferences. Registration will permit attendees to attend any talk in the four conferences (GI, AI, CRV, Precarn IS), which will be scheduled in parallel tracks. The conference will also include a banquet and a posters/demos session.
