Our apologies for cross-postings. __________________________________________________ *** C A L L F O R P A P E R S *** 6th Eurographics Workshop on Virtual Environments June 1-2, 2000, Amsterdam, The Netherlands _____________________________________________________________ http://www.cwi.nl/egve00 Aims and Scope -------------- Following five succesful Eurographics Workshops on Virtual Environments (Barcelona 93, Monte Carlo 95 & 96, Stuttgart 98, and Vienna 99), we invite you to participate in the sixth Eurographics Workshop on Virtual Environments. Papers and case studies will form the scientific content of the the event. Papers are invited that present research results from all areas of virtual environments. Case studies report on practical applications of virtual environments. Suggested topics for research papers include, but are not limited to : - Virtual reality for scientific visualization - Spatial input devices and techniques - Real-time graphics techniques - Augmented reality - Multimodal interaction - VR systems development - Collaborative VR - VE evaluation Case studies are solicited from any application area, including: Industrial, marketing, e-commerce, entertainment, architecture. Accepted papers and case studies will be published in a book by Springer-Verlag. Workshop Venue and Format -------------------------- The event will be held in Amsterdam at the Center for Mathematics and Computer Science. The event is open to all those with an interest in virtual environments. Students, in particular, are encouraged to participate. The two day workshop will be organized as an assembly of plenary presentations. Invited presentations will be included. Related Events -------------- EGVE '00 is preceeded by: 2nd joined Eurographics-IEEE TCVG Symposium on Visualization. This symposium will be held from May 29 - May 31 at the Center for Mathematics and Computer Science in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. Important Dates --------------- 3 December 1999 : Paper submission deadline 17 January 2000 : Notification of acceptance 18 February 2000 : Camera ready copies 1-2 June 2000 : EGVE '00 Paper Submission ---------------- Authors are requested to prepare their contribution as a full paper. Accepted papers will be published in a book by Springer-Verlag. Accepted research and case study papers are limited to 10 pages. In the book one additional page of color plates per paper is available.
