General


The Eurographics Symposium on Rendering 2004 will be held in Norrk=A8oping,
Sweden, on June 21-23, 2004. Norrk=A8oping is an active cultural center in
Sweden,
conveniently located two hours south of Stockholm. This event is the
successor
to the highly successful Eurographics Symposium on Rendering and the
Eurographics Workshops on Rendering held in the previous 14 years.
The program co-chairs are Henrik Wann Jensen and Alexander Keller. The
local organizers are Mark Ollila, Ken Museth, Anders Ynnerman, and other
members of the Department of Science and Technology at Link=A8oping
University.


Topics


Submissions are invited in (but not limited to) the following areas:
. Sampling, filtering, and anti-aliasing
. Texture models, analysis, and synthesis
. Reflection models and methods
. Visibility algorithms
. Global illumination methods and approximations
. Capturing real-world data for rendering
. Human perception and error measures
. Non-photorealistic rendering
. Computer vision related and image-based rendering algorithms
. New rendering hardware and new uses of existing hardware
. Systems and software architectures for rendering
. Rendering methods for virtual and augmented reality
. Real-time rendering algorithms
. Parallel rendering algorithms
. Point-based rendering
Research and developments driven by real-world applications are encouraged.
We welcome short papers (max. 6 pages) as well as full papers (max. 12
pages). The category of submitted papers will be decided based on the
reviewing
results, but authors may submit papers specifically to the short paper
category.
The presentation format will allow for ample discussion time. The number of
participants will be limited to 150.
