It is organised by the Department of Computer Science of University College London (UCL), in association with Eurographics, in the context of the Eurographics Working Group on Rendering Activities. The workshop is well established as a major international forum for the exchange of ideas and experiences in the area of rendering algorithms and techniques. Topics ------- Submissions are invited in (but not limited to) the following areas: o Local and global illumination and reflection models and methods o Monte Carlo and finite element techniques o Sampling, filtering, and anti-aliasing o Visibility algorithms o Human perception and error measures o Texture models, analysis, and synthesis o Image-based rendering o New rendering hardware and new uses of existing hardware o Rendering on low end graphics platforms o Experimental or practice-and-experience comparative studies of existing methods o Rendering solutions for virtual/augmented reality and interactive systems o Non-photorealistic rendering Research and development driven by real-world applications are encouraged. In order to include application reports and papers with preliminary results or speculative ideas, a short paper category (6 page limit) is available in addition to full papers (12 page limits). The category of submitted papers will be decided based on the reviewing results, but authors may submit papers specifically to the short paper category. As has been the tradition in previous workshops, the presentation format will allow for ample discussion time. The number of participants will be limited to 90. Internationally known speakers will give invited lectures.
