Call for Papers CVMP 2014 offers the opportunity to showcase your work through submission of Full (up to 10 page) and Short (1 page) papers: FULL PAPER SUBMISSION DEADLINE: 6 JULY 2014 SHORT PAPER SUBMISSION DEADLINE: 24 AUGUST 2014 We invite submissions of full length regular, technical papers presenting novel research or applications related to any aspect of media production. We particularly encourage submission of early stage doctoral work, and there is a Google/Youtube sponsored prize of $2000 USD for the best graduate student paper. Full length submitted papers should be no more than 10 pages and will be subject to double-blind peer review. Accepted full papers will be presented in either oral or poster form. Conference proceedings will be published by ACM, and will be included with DOI in the ACM digital library. Short paper submissions are in the form of extended abstracts, one page in length. Short papers will be presented in poster form, and will also be published and included in the ACM digital library. Short papers may showcase either mature research, or early stage work in progress. Papers are invited in all areas of visual media production related to film, games, and broadcast, not limited to: 3D video capture and 3D-TV Character Animation Computational Photography High-dynamic range (HDR) imaging Image and video synthesis Image enhancement and restoration Interactive media and games Motion Estimation Multiple camera systems Omni-directional video Post production using Stereo, 3D and motion Pre-visualization Real-time imaging systems Relighting images and video Scene modelling Segmentation and matting Video and camera tracking Video-based animation Video-based human motion capture Visual asset management Visual effects (VFX) Authors of the best full papers, as scored by reviewers, selected for presentation at CVMP will be invited to submit an extended version of Elsevier Computers & Graphics in January 2015. Publication of the journal special issue is anticipated to be Summer 2015. Authors will be notified of paper acceptance on 8 September. Camera-ready version of the papers incorporating any modifications will be required by 16 September.
