The 16th ALGORITMY conference will be devoted to computational realisations and analysis of algorithms solving real problems from all branches of sciences, engineering, technology, medicine, finance and other applications. The main topics include methods of - computational fluid dynamics - nonlinear heat and mass transfer - modelling of flow in porous media - image processing and computer vision - data analysis and pattern recognition - computational finance - free boundary problems - inverse problems - scientific visualization - software for scientific computations. List of plenary speakers already accepted our invitation with preliminary titles (topics) of lectures: ---------------------------- Anne Bourlioux (University of Montreal, Canada) Large scale simulations of turbulent flames with asymptotic subgrid models Frederic Cao (Ecole Normale Superieure, Cachan, France) Morphological schemes in image analysis Robert Eymard (University of Marne-la-Vallee, France) Finite volume schemes for multiphasic flows in porous media: mathematical and engineering features Maurizio Falcone (University Roma-La Sapienza, Rome, Italy) Semi-Lagrangian schemes for hyperbolic problems and applications Peter Frolkovic (IWR, University of Heidelberg, Germany / Comenius University, Bratislava, Slovakia) Flux-based method of characteristics for transport problems Juergen Fuhrmann (WIAS, Berlin, Germany) Implicit finite volume methods in complex applications Martin Gander (McGill University, Montreal, Canada) AILU: A New Incomplete LU Preconditioner Roger van Keer (University of Ghent, Belgium) Numerical approximation methods of convection-diffusion problems in heat and mass transfer Norio Kikuchi (University of Yokohama, Japan) On a construction of Morse flows Maria Lukacova-Medvidova (Technical University, Brno, Czech Republic) Multi-dimensional bicharacteristic finite volume schemes for hyperbolic conservation laws Hans Werner Meuer (University of Mannheim and Prometeus GmbH, Germany) Supercomputing: past, present and future Mario Ohlberger (University of Freiburg, Germany) A-posteriori error estimates and adaptive methods for finite volume approximations of convection dominated porous media flow problems Martin Rumpf (University of Duisburg, Germany) Geometric methods in image and surface processing Alfred Schmidt (Zentrum fur TechnoMathematik, University of Bremen, Germany) Adaptive methods for coupled systems James A.
