Initiated in 1988, the series of SIBGRAPIs sponsored by the Brazilian Computer Society (SBC) have become the most important meetings in Brazil in the areas of Computer Graphics, Image Processing, and Computer Vision. Attesting to the relevance and quality of the SIBGRAPI series of meetings, the proceedings have been published by the IEEE Computer Society Press since 1997. All information on past SIBGRAPI events can be found at http://www.sbc.org.br/cegrapi/. Special efforts will be made to publish the best papers in some Journal special issue. You are cordially invited to participate by submitting your work in all areas of Computer Graphics, Image Processing and Computer Vision, including but not limited to the topics listed at: http://www.vision.ime.usp.br/~sibgrapi2003/presentation/presentation.html Full instructions for submissions are available at http://www.vision.ime.usp.br/~sibgrapi2003/submission/submission.html Contributions should be in one of the following categories: +FULL PAPERS scheduled as oral presentations and published in the Proceedings as two-column, 8-page papers, in English. +TECHNICAL POSTERS presented in a special session and published as two-column, 1-page papers, in English. +PANELS on topics related to the SIBGRAPI themes, short descriptions published as two-column, 2-page papers, in English. +TUTORIALS about classical or timely topics, ranged from elementary to advanced, consisting of three to six hours of lectures with printed notes (20-50 pages), in Portuguese or English. +FRONT COVER IMAGES generated by computer graphics or image processing techniques, to be printed on the front cover of the SIBGRAPI proceedings. +VIDEOS generated by computer graphics or digital video processing techniques to be presented in a special session. +WTDCGPI: Master's and PhD students are invited to submit papers (in Portuguese or English).
