Since many years, this workshop has successfully attracted specialists in this growing field. This year, the workshop will especially cover animation areas linked to Interactive and Reatime Computer Animation. This includes applications to Virtual Reality, 3D games, Virtual Humans, Animation for Shared Virtual Environments, Web-based animation, or standards like MPEG-4 and VRML. Authors are invited to submit technical papers in these or related areas. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to: Interactive and Realtime Animation Animation in Entertainment and Games Animation Algorithms and Techniques Animation for Virtual Worlds and VR Animation Systems Virtual Humans Animation in Visualization and Science Distributed Animation Character Animation Web-based Animation MPEG-4 and VRML-based Animation Facial Animation and Communication Visual Simulation Submission Procedure (all submissions are electronic) Authors are requested to submit papers, no longer than 10 pages. Papers should be submitted in PDF format by e-mail to cas2000@lig.di.epfl.ch. Selection will be based upon technical and scientific content and relevance to the workshop. All accepted papers will be published in a Springer-Verlag book. Workshop Format --------------- The workshop will take place just before the Eurographics '2000 Conference, at the same location. As such, it will provide an important opportunity to researchers planning to attend/present at either event, to spend more time exploring topics of common interest. The workshop will be held in two days, with paper presentation and discussion sessions. The final EG workshop approval is pending.
