Submitted papers should clearly relate to visual analytics problems and show the integration of data analysis and visualization. The EuroVAST 2010 Conference Proceedings will be published by EuroGraphics Association. ******************************************************************** EuroVAST 2010 is the first international symposium on visual analytics science and technology held in Europe. The goal of the symposium is to promote and advance the combination and integration of visualization and analytics methods for the purpose of problem solving in a variety of application domains including engineering, business, public policy, medicine, security, etc. EuroVAST will be held on June 8, 2010 in Bordeaux, France, co-located with the annual EuroVis 2010 Conference. The EuroVAST program will feature a number of invited speakers from research and industry as well as a poster program. The keynote talks will be given by * Jarke van Wijk, Technische Universiteit Eindhoven, Netherlands * Frank van Ham, IBM, France * Gregor Hackenbroich, SAP Research Center, Dresden, Germany Full papers related to Visual Analytics can be submitted to the Visual Analytics track of the EuroVis conference. EuroVAST is sponsored by the European Coordination Action \"VisMaster: Visual Analytics -- Mastering the Information Age\". Visual Analytics is the science of analytical reasoning supported by interactive visual interfaces, which requires interdisciplinary science integrating techniques from visualization and computer graphics, statistics and mathematics, data management and knowledge representation, data analysis and machine learning, cognitive and perceptual sciences, and more. TOPICS of interest include but are not limited to * Visual representations and interaction techniques * Data management and knowledge representation * Data analysis and machine learning * Cognitive and perceptual aspects * Infrastructure and Evaluation * Applications as far as they are related to visual analytics. Authors are asked to use the formatting guidelines (size of fonts, illustrations, ...) which can be found at www.eurovast.org. Authors of accepted papers have to give a short oral presentation and show their work during the poster program. The conference proceedings will be published by EuroGraphics Associaton.
