Fourth Eurographics Workshop on Parallel Graphics and Visualization in cooperation with ACM SIGGRAPH Blaubeuren, Germany, September 9-10, 2002 (in the week after the Eurographics conference) http://www.gris.uni-tuebingen.de/conf/egpgv02 CALL FOR PAPERS ----------------------------------------------------------------------- AIMS AND SCOPE Following successful previous workshops that were held in Bristol (UK) 1996, Rennes (F) 1998, and Girona (E) 2000, we are happy to announce the Fourth EUROGRAPHICS WORKSHOP on PARALLEL GRAPHICS and VISUALISATION. The aim of this workshop is to improve the exchange of experiences and knowledge between people interested in PARALLEL and DISTRIBUTED COMPUTING and its application to all aspects of COMPUTER GRAPHICS and SCIENTIFIC AND ENGINEERING VISUALIZATION. Topics for the Workshop include (but are not limited to): - methods and techniques for large data visualization (not necessarily parallel) - graphics & visualisation in cluster computing - efficient graphics & visualization for shared and distributed memory systems - parallel and distributed systems for large displays - parallel and distributed systems for photo-realistic rendering - real-time systems for 3D virtual reality - data coherence in graphics algorithms - rendering realistically large models - parallel volume rendering Invited speakers will be Toshiaki Kato of SquareUSA, USA and Anton Koning of SARA, The Netherlands. For submissions, please check the webpage of the workshop. Submission will be electronically. Surface email submission will be accepted only exceptionally. It is planned that the proceedings will be published through ACM SIGGRAPH.
