The deadline for submissions is: 5 May! THIRD EUROGRAPHICS WORKSHOP ON PARALLEL GRAPHICS & VISUALISATION Girona (E), 28-29 September 2000 CALL FOR CONTRIBUTIONS ----------------------------------------------------------------- AIMS AND SCOPE Following the successful previous workshops that was held in Bristol (UK) in September 1996 and Rennes (F) we announce the THIRD EUROGRAPHICS WORKSHOP on PARALLEL GRAPHICS & VISUALISATION. The aim of this workshop is to improve the exchange of experiences and knowledge between people interested in PARALLEL and DISTRIBUTED COMPUTING and its application to all aspects of COMPUTER GRAPHICS and SCIENTIFIC AND EBGINEERING VISUALIZATION. Topics for the Workshop include (but are not limited to): - graphics & visualisation in High-Performance Computing and Networking (HPCN) applications - parallel and distributed systems for photo-realistic rendering - real-time systems for 3D virtual reality - 3D graphics and multimedia for internet - MPP graphics systems - task scheduling and data distribution for graphics applications - shared memory and distributed memory graphics systems - data coherence in graphics algorithms - rendering realistically large models - parallel volume rendering To submit a contribution, authors are requested to send their full paper in compressed postscript or pdf format by email (only exceptionally by surface mail) to the International Programme Committee. As well as appearing in the proceedings of the workshop, several of papers will be selected to appear (in an extended form) in a special issue of the journal, PARALLEL COMPUTING, published by Elsevier, Amsterdam.
