SECOND EUROGRAPHICS WORKSHOP ON PARALLEL GRAPHICS & VISUALISATION Rennes (F), 24-25 September 1998 CALL FOR CONTRIBUTIONS >>>>>>>>>>> NEW Submission deadline: April 26, 1998 - ----------------------------------------------------------------- AIMS AND SCOPE Following the successful first workshop that was held in Bristol in September 1996, we announce the SECOND EUROGRAPHICS WORKSHOP on PARALLEL GRAPHICS & VISUALISATION. The aim of this workshop is to improve the exchange of experiences and knowledge between people interested in PARALLEL and DISTRIBUTED COMPUTING and its application to all aspects of computer graphics and scientific and engineering visualisation. Topics for the Workshop include (but are not limited to): - graphics & visualisation in High-Performance Computing and Networking (HPCN) applications - parallel and distributed systems for photo-realistic rendering - real-time systems for 3D virtual reality - 3D graphics and multimedia for internet - MPP graphics systems - task scheduling and data distribution for graphics applications - shared memory and distributed memory graphics systems - data coherence in graphics algorithms - rendering realistically large models - parallel volume rendering To submit a contribution, authors are requested to send their full paper either by post or in compressed postscript format by email to the workshop chairman, Thierry Priol, at the address given below. Papers should not be more than 15 pages in length.
